We have officially reached the halfway point in learning New Testament Greek. Next week will be the last class of the “semester.” We will cover the material from chapter 13 and talk about some ways to avoid making word study mistakes as well as some of the resources that might be helpful to you as you continue studying Greek. I look forward to continue with you all starting back sometime in August.
Remember to keep up with your Greek. If you do not use it on a regular basis, you will lose it. How can you keep up with your Greek? Here are some suggestions:
1) Re-read through chapters 1-13.
2) Make sure that you know your conjugations and declensions cold. Write them out occasionally.
3) Make sure you have an up-to-date list on all the vocabulary we have learned so far…and learn it all!
4) Pick up the Learn to Read New Testament Greek Workbook.
5) Try your hand at translating through the book of 1 John. No, you will not know all of the vocabulary. No, you will not know all the conjugations. Yes, it will be frustrating. But, it will allow you to familiarize yourself with the Greek text and give you something to look forward to.
6) Start working ahead through the next couple chapters. I am always available via email to answer any of your questions. Feel free to send them, and I will try to get back to you within the week!
